केंद्रीय विद्यालय हमीरपुर में राष्ट्रीय पुस्तकालय सप्ताह एवं पुस्तक मेले का संपन्न



केंद्रीय विद्यालय हमीरपुर में १६ नवम्बर २०१७ से चला आ रहा राष्ट्रीय पुस्तकालय सप्ताह का आज समापन समारोह संपन्न हुआ ! इस दौरान पुस्तकालय में कई प्रकार की गतिविधियाँ आयोजित की गयी – जैसे पुस्तक समीक्षा, कहानी लेखन, कविता पाठ, निंबध लेखन, आशु भाषण, बुक मार्क एवं पुस्तक आवरण डिजाइनिंग प्रतियोगिता आदि ! छात्रो ने इन प्रतियोगिताओं में बढ़ चढ़ कर भाग लिया एवं आयोजन को सफल बनाने में अपना पूर्ण योगदान दिया ! छात्रों ने उत्कर्ष प्रदर्शन करते हुए कई ईनाम प्राप्त किये !

समापन अवसर पर नवराज प्रकाशन, नई दिल्ली के सौजन्य से विद्यालय प्रांगन में “बाल पुस्तक मेला” का आयोजन किया गया ! प्राचार्य श्री वीरेंदर सिंह ने दीप प्रज्जवलित करके “बाल पुस्तक मेले” का शुभारम्भ किया और छात्रों, शिक्षकों एवं अभिभावकों ने खूब खरीददारी की ! अभिभावकों ने मुक्त कंठ से इस आयोजन की प्रशंसा की एवं आशा जताई की भविष्य में भी इसी प्रकार के आजोजन होते रहें ताकि छात्रों में स्वाध्याय के प्रति रूचि विकसित हो सके ! प्राचार्य श्री वीरेंदर सिंह ने छात्रों एवं अभिभावकों का आवाहन करते हुए कहा की पुस्तकें मनुष्य की सच्ची मित्र होती हैं एवं पुस्तक प्रेमी सबसे अधिक सुखी और धनी होता है ! अतः निरंतर पुस्तकें अध्यन की आदत का विकास नितान्त आवश्यक है !

Celebration of Constitution Day - 2017 in the Vidyalaya





 Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated in India on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of Constitution of India. On this day in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950.
The Government of India declared 26 November as Constitution Day on 19 November 2015 by a gazette notification. The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi made the declaration on 11 October 2015 while laying the foundation stone of the B. R. Ambedkar memorial in Mumbai.The year of 2015 is the 125th birth anniversary of Ambedkar, who had chaired the drafting committee of the Constituent Assembly and played a pivotal role in the drafting of the constitution. Previously this day was celebrated as Law Day. 26 November was chosen to spread the importance of the constitution and to spread thoughts and ideas of Ambedkar. 
Since 2015 is the 125th birth anniversary year of B. R. Ambedkar (14 April 1891 – 6 December 1956), who is known as the architect of the Indian constitution, the government decided in May 2015 to celebrate this year "in a big way" A special committee chaired by Prime Minister of India was announced for year-long celebrations. Various programmes will be held by various ministries and departments throughout the year to spread thoughts and ideas of Ambedkar. As part of the celebrations while laying foundation stone for an Ambedkar memorial at the Indu Mills compounds in Mumbai in October 2015, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi announced that 26 November will be celebrated as "Constitution Day". In November 2015, the government officially announced celebration of the day.

This day celebrated with great pump and show in the Vidyalaya on 25 Nov 2017 being Sunday on 26 Nov 2017.

National Unity Day - 31 Oct





Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) was introduced by the Government of India and inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014. The intent is to pay tribute to Vallabhbhai Patel, who was instrumental in keeping India united. It is to be celebrated on 31 October every year as annual commemoration of the birthday of the Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, one of the founding leaders of Republic of India. The official statement for Rashtriya Ekta Diwas by the Home Ministry of India cites that the National Unity Day “will provide an opportunity to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of our country.”
National Unity Day celebrates the birthday of Patel because, during his term as Home Minister of India, he is credited for the integration of over 550 independent princely states into India from 1947-49 by Independence Act (1947). He is known as the “Bismarck of India”.
The celebration is complemented with the speech of Prime Minister of India followed by the "Run for Unity".  Similar function observed at KV Hamirpur (HP).  After the speech of Sh. Virender Singh, Principal he flagged off the event "Run for Unity".

हिंदी पखवाड़ा


भारत सरकार के सभी कार्यालयों, उपक्रमों, उद्यमों, संस्थाओं में हिंदी पखवाड़ा हर वर्ष १४ सितंबर से २८ सितंबर अथवा १ सितंबर से १४ सितंबर तक मनाया जाता है। १४ सितंबर को हिंदी दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। भारत सरकार के केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रि जी का संदेश १४ सितंबर को प्रकाशित किया जाता है। केद्रीय हिंदी समिति के अध्यक्ष के नाते भारत के प्रधान मंत्री जी तथा महामहिम राष्ट्रपति जी का संदेश भी जारी किया जाता है। राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रति जागरुकता पैदा करने के लिए हिंदी पखवाडे के दौरान अनेक हिंदी कार्यक्रम, प्रतियोगिताएँ, कवि सम्मेलन, संगोष्ठी, भारतीय स्तर पर हर विभाग द्वारा राजभाषा सम्मेलन भी आयोजित करने का प्रावधान है। हिंदी दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में हिंदी में अधिक कार्य करनेवाले अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों को सम्मानित किया जाता है। यह देखा जाता है कि हिंदी पखवाड़े के दौरान कार्यालयों में हिंदी पत्राचार में कितना प्रतिशत कार्य बढ गया है। मा, संसदीय राजभाषा निरीक्षण समिति कार्यालय का निरीक्षण करते समय इस बात पर उचित ध्यान देती है। हिंदी पखवाडे का आयोजन कार्यालय की सुविधानुसार हिंदी दिवस के पहले या बाद में किया जाता है।
हमारे विद्यालय में हर वर्ष की तरह "हिंदी पखवाड़े" का आयोजन बड़ी धूमधाम से किया गया ! इस अवसर पर विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया ! छात्र-छात्राओं एवं शिक्षकों ने बड़े उत्साह के साथ भाग लिया !

Library and Resource Centre




Library is the nerve-centre and the heart of the vidyalaya and plays a vital role in supporting, teaching and learning activities, and provides the main source for individual demand at KV Hamirpur (HP). Library is meant to help academic community to keep abreast with the latest development in their area of activities and to provide information support for regular study and academic activities. At the same time for students, library is a source to get information support for their course curriculum as well as for their self-development. A well-stocked full automated library equipped with latest books and magazines on fiction, non –fiction, science & commerce stream related area.
The Library & Resource Center of Kendriya Vidyalaya Hamirpur (HP) is a spacious and beautiful with a wealth of offers for those who seek information. The Library & Resource Centre is a part of the Vidyalaya and offers access to Books, Periodicals, CDs & the internet with the automation software e-Granthalaya 3.0 V30  powered by NIC New Delhi . The library is open to all working hours of the vidyalaya and this gives students a rich opportunity to pursue their studies at any hour. This flexibility is often needed when trying to juggle a busy life of studying and maintaining a social life as well.
The School Library of Kendriya Vidyalaya Hamirpur (HP) caters to the information needs of 854 students and 48 staff members of the Vidyalaya. With a collection of 4767 judiciously selected books, 38 periodicals, 07 daily newspapers and Educational Multimedia the library complement the teaching learning process inspiring the students to dream high. The School Library is fully automated with the Library Management Software “e-GRANTHALAYA 3.0 V30” powered by National Informatics Center New Delhi & Recommended by KVS Delhi and it is managed by Sh. Library Activities

Ø  Book Review Writing Competition:  Book Review writing     Competition is being organized by the Readers Club, LRC. The students/users from class VI to VIII is being participated.
Ø  Library copy writing: Library copy is being maintained by the various classes from VI to IX. The Readers Club is managing to organize the various activities.
    Ø  Career & Counseling:- Career counseling is a regular feature in the Library activities.  Lectures and contact programmes of career counselors from the various fields are being conducted in the Vidyalaya to help the aspirants to choose right profession. Regular talk on upcoming entrance examination is being delivered in the Library and assembly.
Ø  Book Exhibition: A Book Exhibition is being organized in the library in connection with World Book and Copyright Day with the cooperation of various publication houses and distributors & NBT New Delhi
Ø    Best Reader Award and certificate :- Two students one each from secondary and one from senior secondary are selected on the basis of number of books read and overall utilization of library resources and were awarded best reader award and certificate.
Ø  Quiz Competition:- Various Quiz competitions to include subject based quiz competitions for classes VI to XII were organized in LRC from time to time as a part of Reader’s club Activity and participation of the students is appreciated by one and all.
Ø  Science for Kids:- Learn more about the amazing world of science by enjoying our fun science experiments, cool facts, online games, free activities, ideas, lesson plans, photos, quizzes, videos & science fair projects. An entertaining site full of informative projects and activities.

 Primary Class Library :- 

The Primary Class Library plays a special role in the School. It provides books and other print materials and multi-media resources to meet the instructional needs of the community. These resources are properly manipulated and fully utilized with the expertise of the media librarians and skilled Library staff.
This is intended for the Class – I to Class V students. It includes picture books, story books, Rhyming book and children's reference materials. Every Class Teachers are playing the role of Librarian, they are organizing their class library by issued 100 books per section, Champak Magazines & CD-ROMs. They (Class Teachers) are really inculcating the reading habits with the help of Class Library among the budding authors to
Library ARES:- 

 Circulation Area - This is place where books and other library materials are loaned out.  The library is available for client's use.
 Reference Section- It houses up-dated reference resources like encyclopedias, dictionaries, almanacs, yearbooks, atlases, directories, etc. Vertical file materials are located here.
 Reading Area -  It houses the general collection of books (books on generalities to history and biographies). Issues of children's journals and periodicals can also be found here.
 Fiction Book Section - Books written by Drama, Novel, Poem, Prose, Short Story and Humor & satire authors. (Including Nency Dew/ Enid Blyton/ Newbery award-winning books and classic books)
 Non Fiction Section - Home reading books are found here. A comfortable reading area is also provided here.
 Periodicals Area -  Back issues of periodicals for children are shelved here.
 Faculty Section - Professional books, journals, periodicals, manuals and guide books for teachers' instructional needs and professional growth are stationed here.
  Technical Services  -  This is a working area where books are technically processed: collating, stamping, accessioning, classifying and cataloging.

LIBRARY  SERVICE HOURS:- 

The Library is open on all vidyalaya working days from 8:15 A.M. to 3:15 P.M.

LIBRARY OVERDUE FINES :-

There is no provision of fine from the students.  However timely return of the books will be ensured by the users. After two reminders, if a user fails to return the book, action will be taken to recover the present cost of the book.  However Rs. 1/- p.d. will be recovered from the staff for late submission of books.
